Founded by Tom Fazio, Fazio Golf Design is dedicated to bringing each client’s vision for their property to life. Over a career span of more than six decades, Tom has designed over 200 courses worldwide, many consistently ranked among the finest in the game. Tom began his career in 1962 under the mentorship of his uncle, George Fazio. By the mid 1970’s, he established his own firm and quickly gained national recognition with landmark designs such as Wild Dunes in South Carolina and Pinehurst No. 6 in North Carolina.

At Fazio Golf Design, every project begins with a meticulous study of the property’s natural features. Layouts are crafted to highlight the land’s inherent character while fulfilling the client’s goals. The firm’s philosophy balances strategic challenge with playability, creating courses that engage golfers of all abilities while making the most of every acre, from scenic vistas to practical functionality. Thoughtful transitions across the landscape, careful shaping of holes, and attention to detail ensure that each course is both visually striking and deeply satisfying to play.

The firm’s success is built on a deeply collaborative, team-based approach shared by Tom’s talented staff of design associates, many of whom have worked alongside him for 30 to 40+ years. Together, this visionary team, united by a shared passion for the game and a wealth of collective expertise, continues to produce world-class golf courses celebrated for their beauty, strategy, and timeless quality.

Today, Tom remains actively involved in projects across the globe, from the rugged landscapes of Montana to the rolling hills of Tuscany. His ongoing engagement reflects a lifelong dedication to excellence, creativity, and meaningful client partnerships. As he often says, “Many of our clients become lifelong friends. That’s one of the great rewards of this work, it’s not just about building golf courses, it’s about building lasting relationships.
